It’s a for people that don’t have the money to buy a more expensive Wacom model. In today’s Huion H610 Pro review, we will go into more details and give you our opinion if it’s worth buying. First Impression – Unboxing A Huion Graphics Tablet The Huion H610 Pro graphics drawing pen tablet comes in a pretty simple box. Nothing super fancy like some of the other brands. It seems like some of the Huion tablets at a higher price-point get impressive packaging but maybe they try to keep the price as low as possible for the H610 Pro. Best mac for graphic and web design. A solid-state drive (SSD) provides you with 256GB of storage, which is large enough for even the biggest projects you need to get done. Connecting any of your devices is super simple with a cluster of ports on the front of the device including 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 and 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port. Inside the box, you will find the Huion tablet, chargeable pen, pen holder, replaceable nibs, tablet USB cable, USB cable for the pen, manuals and installation CDs. Depending on where you buy your tablet, you sometimes also get a free carrying bag. It all fits neatly into the box. The Huion H610 Pro actually looks surprisingly similar to the Wacom Intuos Pro. Active Drawing Surface The first thing you will probably notice about the H610 Pro is its big drawing area of 10-by-6.25 inches. While at a similar price point you can buy a Wacom Bamboo tablet which only has a 5.8-by-3.8 inches drawing area. The area also has 2048 sensitivity levels which is comparable to other high-end drawing tablets. However, some of the Huion H610 Pro reviews mentioned that although there is plenty of active area, there isn’t much inactive area. ![]() This might seem a strange complaint because you only need the active area for drawing. However, while drawing it is nice to have plenty of inactive area as well to rest your hand on. Since the H610 Pro doesn’t have much inactive area, your hand might frequently slide off the edge of the drawing tablet. A Closer Look At The Stylus The Huion graphics tablet comes with a very light stylus. Depending on your personal preference that not necessarily a bad thing. But it might feel a little cheap if you are used to heavier ones. The grip area is covered with a matte surface, so it’s pretty comfortable to hold and work with for long periods. Using tablet settings, you can map keyboard shortcuts to one of the two programmable buttons on the stylus. By default, they are keyed to the left and right mouse click. An internal battery powers the stylus and needs to be charged through the USB cable that comes with the tablet. Huion claims that the stylus lasts 800 hours after a 2-hour charge, so you don’t need to be worried about having to charge it all the time. Unfortunately, the charging port is at the back of the stylus, which means there is no eraser button. But if you really need the eraser, you can map it to one of the programmable keys. The holder that comes with the Huion H610 Pro keeps your pen in a horizontal position. Genealogy software for mac reviews. Some other tablet models by Huion and Wacom come with holders that can keep your pen in either horizontal or vertical position but that’s lacking in the H610 Pro version. Just like the stylus, the holder is pretty lightweight and doesn’t come with any rubbers at the bottom. If you detach the holder, you will find the 4 replacement tips and a metal nib remover you can use when the stylus breaks down. Tablet Shortcut Buttons Being a professional drawing tablet, the Huion H610 Pro has 8 programmable buttons on the left side of the tablet. By default, they are used to the Brush tool, hand, Brush Size, Zoom, etc. In Photoshop. Each button has a small logo on it which indicates what they do. But if you prefer a different setup or use a different drawing software, you can change it to suit your liking. For left-handed artists, the buttons on the left might be a little difficult to work with. But by changing the orientation in the tablet settings menu and rotating the tablet you can fix most problems. Although most of the buttons are fine, the zoom in and zoom out buttons are tricky to work with. The problem is that they only zoom in discrete amounts. So for example, if you are working on a pretty small digital canvas and press the zoom out button one, you will suddenly be zoomed out way too far.
