Iphone SE, ios 10.2.1 when DST hit this past sunday (march 2017), my iphone updated to the correct time, but many of my recurring events are now showing one hour later (e.g., a 5.30pm appointment now shows as 6.30pm). Opening the event in calendar reveals that these events are apparently created or saved in GMT, which is not my time zone (i am in eastern US time). I have never used GMT. I either create events locally on my iphone (in the right time zone), or i create them in MS Outlook 2016 (using windows 10). Curiously, outlook still shows the events at the correct time; they only show the wrong time on the iphone.
I can manually go in and change the time zone from GMT to my local time, which is especially annoying in that i have to manually fix the time (it still shows the GMT time, which is several hours off). And once i fix the time zone for the event, it creates a duplicate event in my outlook calendar. Does anyone know if this is an iphone/calendar issue? Outlook for Mac - Release notes for Insider Fast builds. Insider builds for Office for Mac are updated on a regular basis to provide new or improved features, security updates and bug fixes. Is it an outlook issue? Does anyone know how i can address/prevent it? Hello vasska, Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your events showing the incorrect time after the DST change. I am happy to check this out with you. I would first like to check Settings > General > Date & Time. Ensure your iPhone has 'Set Automatically' enabled, and shows the correct time zone. You may need to disable the 'Set Automatically', restart your iPhone, then come back to Settings > General > Date & Time and re-enable it again. To restart your iPhone, use this help article: Another place I recommend checking is in the iCloud settings. You may be using iCloud to sync the information from your Outlook calendar to your iPhone, and it may be showing the info from iCloud. To check this, go to and sign in using the same Apple ID that is used on the iPhone. You can check the Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone. Once signed in at, click the Settings icon. The time zone will be in the top section with your name, Apple ID and Language settings. In fact, I was checking my Apple ID to ensure I provided an accurate description and discovered that I also had to update my Time Zone / Region here! Once both your time zones are set properly, it may take a little time for iCloud to sync everything across your devices and represent the new time, but for calendar events, I would not expect it to take more than an hour. If those do not help, the only other thing I can think of to check at this moment is if you are not using iCloud to sync your calendar events. If you use a third party provider such as Google or Yahoo, you may need to log in to their website and check the settings there. It may also help us if you can tell us what provider you are using. This info will be listed in Settings > iCloud, if you have the Calendar slider enabled there. If not, it will be in Settings > Calendar > Accounts. For your security, please do not provide the full email addresses for all your calendars (or the one calendar that you are experiencing the issues with), just give us the provider. As an example, I have two calendars syncing on my device, iCloud and Yahoo. Thanks again and have a great day.
